On the last stage, the Donkey Trail leads almost exclusively through the forest without any further views. However, the wide gravel paths are often abandoned and the route leads directly through the forest on narrower paths. The gradients are gentle.
Again and again there are picnic areas, benches and several beautiful shelters. At the end, the route leads to the Franciscan monastery of Engelberg, which lies high above Großheubach. The route leads over several steps to the end point of the donkey trail.
