From Bolsterlang, the trail steadily gains altitude - first it goes up to the Bolsterlanger Horn (1588m), on the way there is the opportunity to stop for refreshments. The route then leads higher up to the Weiherkopf (1665m). From there, the hike gives the option of continuing or making the way back - a section of which can be covered on the Weiherkopf chairlift. The Hörnerbahn runs to the Hörnerbahn valley station not far from the starting point.
In winter, the region becomes a popular ski resort.
