The first two kilometers are in the direction of Ginofls. From here it goes 4km and 300 m above sea level on a technically demanding driveway up to the basalt lake. Now the first exit to the Schweinfurt house follows. Passing the Thuringian Hut, head towards Eisgab and from here past the Rhönhof to the Black Moor. Here it is relatively flat towards the Thuringian Rhönhaus. After the descent and the approach to the foot of the Wasserkuppe there are nine approx. 500 hm that have to be mastered. Head home towards the Rotes Moor and the last climb up to the Heidelstein. Once the witch's house has been reached, the same route follows downhill that was already covered uphill.
