Von Kirchentellinsfurt nach Eisenach

This monumental route connects the south of Germany with the heart of Thuringia and represents an extreme endurance and logistical challenge that takes weeks to complete. The long-distance hiking trail begins in Baden-Württemberg and stretches for hundreds of kilometers to Eisenach, the historic gateway to the legendary Rennsteig. Hikers cross a variety of landscapes, from the rolling hills of the Swabian Alb to the deep forests of the Thuringian Forest. The trails are mostly well marked and non-technical, consisting of forest and gravel paths. The biggest obstacle is maintaining physical and mental strength over the entire distance. The historic town of Eisenach with its famous Wartburg Castle awaits you at the finish.
