Permanente RTF: Albtour zum Schloss Lichtenstein

Permanent RTF "Alb tour to Lichtenstein Castle" by RV Pfeil Tübingen. Official route, further details can be found directly from the organizer: https://www.rvpfeil-tuebingen.de/. The tour leads via Gomaringen, Pfullingen and Lichtenstein to the Alb plateau to Engstingen. The ascent of the Alb takes place via the lime kiln (Stoppomat mountain time trial, approx. 1 km in addition to the destination) and Lichtenstein Castle. The Lauterquelle in Offenhausen can be reached on the bike path along the museum railway. It goes flat on bike and farm roads past St. Johann to Eninger Weide. After the descent from Eningen, a few short, steep ramps reach the Scheibengipfel below the Achalm and thus drive around Reutlingen to the east with good views. The route over the northern districts of Reutlingen is hilly again, before you can roll back flat on the Neckar Valley Cycle Path from Kirchentellinsfurt to Tübingen. Lookout tip at Lichtenstein Castle: the best free view of the castle if you drive briefly over gravel on the right in front of the old forester's house. To the right of the castle it goes unpaved to the Hauffdenkmal with a very nice view of the Echaz valley.
