Lake Constance Bike Trail Stage 2: Überlingen – Friedrichshafen

This route is stage 2 of the Bodensee-Radweg, connecting Überlingen with Friedrichshafen along Lake Constance in Germany. Leaving Überlingen, the cycle path follows the shoreline past Schloss Maurach to the Pilgrimage Church of Birnau before continuing through Unteruhldingen and its historic pile dwellings. The trail runs alongside beaches to Meersburg, passing vineyards through Hagnau and Immenstaad toward Friedrichshafen. Wild camping is strictly prohibited; overnight stays take place in local guesthouses, hotels, or designated campgrounds along the way. Drinking water is easily replenished in towns and at public fountains throughout the stage. Both ends are connected to public transit via Deutsche Bahn (https://www.bahn.de). The parent Bodensee-Radweg is a 260 km (162 miles) circular cycling route around Lake Constance through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, typically completed in 8 stages.
