Short and family-friendly loop in the town of Wehlen, Saxony. The start is at the parking lot on Pirnaer Straße. The quarry path is very educational and informative and leads past a beautiful avenue of trees and to the wonderful panoramic view of the Elbe valley. Adventurous loop in Saxon Switzerland. A great loop near Wehlen with beautiful views and much of the history of this quarry region. The use of "Schöne Aussicht" car park at the "Aussicht" bus stop or the car park further west in the village of Wehlen is possible. Care should be taken when travelling near the Schwedenhöhle cave, especially with children, as there are so-called collapsed holes in the ground!
