This route is the 4th stage of the Harz Hexen-Stieg (southern variant) from Drei Annen Hohne to Altenbrak. Unlike the northern route, this trail runs south of the dams and follows the river landscape of the Kalte and Warme Bode through Königshütte, winding through deep forests and mountain meadows.
