Popular loop trail in the Palatinate Forest-Northern Vosges biosphere reserve, Rhineland-Palatinate. This route leads from the Palatinate Turnerheim to the Jungpfalzhuette. The Jungpfalzhuette is definitely one of the most beautiful, rustic and cozy huts in the Palatinate Forest and has an excellent view at an altitude of approx. 500 m. This route follows stage 8 of the Palatinate Wine Trail, starting in Dernbach and ending in Annweiler. The path climbs steeply through dense forests toward Eußerthal, before leading through scenic orchards and up another steep ascent between Grüneck and the Franzosenkopf. It then passes through the small wine village of Gräfenhausen and ascends past the Holderquelle to the Krappenfels viewpoint, which offers sweeping views of Trifels Castle before a final descent into Annweiler.
