Best trails near Bürenberg

The tour starts at the train station in Winterberg and first runs through the tourist resort to St. Georgs-Schanze with a wonderful all-round view of the Hochsauerland. A beautiful forest path takes you to the most famous mountain in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Kahler Asten. It goes over meadow paths and through forests. Shortly after walking into the forest, you come to the Astenweg, which you then follow to the Haumecke hut. There you leave the Astenweg. turn left and walk to Silbersee. You reach the other bank of the Bermecke stream and follow it to the Ahretal campsite and back into town.
