Best trails near Großer Brünnberg

Another rather easy stage, especially whenever taking the chair lift from Oberaudorf to Hocheck. Most of the time is spent hiking leisurely through shady woodland. Only the last 500-metre climb gets tough. Here, the trail becomes steep and, in parts, rocky, until reaching the Brünnsteinhaus lodge. Route of the Brünnstein run 2010. Due to the incline on the last kilometers, the run is one of the most difficult in the area. Nevertheless, it can be run continuously for trained runners. The first three kilometers are tarred and lead along the clear Gfaller reservoir. Then follows a forest road with short tar breaks. Very steep towards the end, but with good ground.
