Best trails near Altes Schloss

This segment leads almost continuously through the forests on the banks of the Rhine river. Here it leads through moraine walls to the foot of the foothills of the Black Forest. Along the way are the ruins of several Roman watchtowers and the "Bürkli" earthworks near Riburg, part of the late Roman Rhine fortifications.
