This great hiking route includes the 8th and 9th segment of the ViaRhenana from Laufenberug via Bad Säckingen to Rheinfelden. The ViaRhenana runs along the historic waterway between the Untersee and the Hochrhein.
The first part (segment 8) from Laufenburg to Bad Säckingen leads past monumental river power plants. The longest covered wooden bridge in Europe is located near Bad Säckingen.
The second part (segment 9) leads almost entirely through the beautiful forest along the banks of the Rhine. There are several ruins of Roman watchtowers along the way.
