The Usedom Island Nature Park covers almost the entire area of Germany's most popular vacation island, Usedom. The diversity of habitats provides suitable living conditions for numerous (endangered) animal and plant species. Hardly anywhere else can you find so many different types of landscape in such a small area: Baltic Sea beaches and inland coasts, lakes and moors, beech forests and dune pines combine with small villages in an old cultural landscape to create a mosaic that surprises with its diversity.

    The Streckelsberg is an approx. 58 meter high cliff edge dune on Usedom. The way to the "summit" leads through an old beech forest with a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. For those interested in history, there was an observation facility on the summit to observe the trajectory of the V2 rockets fired by the Peenemünde Army Research Center at the time of World War II.

Particularly noteworthy is the White Mountain, from which you have a great view of the Peene River.

You walk along between the Cämmerer See and the Peenestrom and then once counterclockwise around the Cämmerer See. Highlights: - Monument to the Revolutionary Sailors

    An easy hike around Mahlzow. There are parking spaces almost everywhere, so this tour can be started from anywhere. Especially when the Wolgast lift bridge is being pulled up, you can relax here along the Peene. Ideal for a walk or a run with a wonderful view of the Peene River.
