The Neustädter Moor is a partially peat-covered, renaturalized and regenerating raised bog area. It consists of raised bog areas with cotton grass stadia, moor and sand heaths, wet grassland, wet meadows as well as swamp and bog woodland. The raised bog areas to the west are particularly valuable. This area was never drained but rewetted.
