The Wilhelmshagen-Woltersdorfer Dünenzug nature reserve is located in the east of Berlin near Lake Müggelsee. The area is four kilometers long and one kilometer wide and consists of an inland dune complex formed during the last ice age.

There is a small campsite on the shore of the lake and you can fish in the lake. Flanked by pine trees, the sandy beach stretches down to the Flakensee like in a small Mediterranean bay and invites you to swim and relax. Due to its proximity to the city, the Flanksee is a popular weekend destination for Berliners.
