The nature park presents a charming landscape with a lively relief, which was formed during the Weichselian Ice Age over 15,000 years ago. Typical of this region are the many gully lakes, swamps and moors.

In good weather, one of the beaches invites you to linger and you can often watch ducks or swans on the water. There are restaurants in Lychen. In the season you can also rent a paddle boat on site.
