Best hard trails in Sonneberg

Interesting tour in the Thuringian Forest. A really exciting themed trail where a lot can be learned about the history of slate mining. It runs along former slate and whetstone quarries. The trail starts right at Sonneberg (Thuringia) main station and there is also a station at the end of the hike, making it easy to travel to and from the trail using the Süd-Thüringen-Bahn.
