The route leads from Johanngeorgenstadt along the Stoneman over the Plattenberg to Abertamy. There, turn off in the direction of Pernik and then follow the cycle path to Platten. After Breitenbach / Potuky you cycle along the little-used state road.

After a few kilometers, cycle left over the ridge to Hirschenstand. From there you go to the Erzgebirgskamm and back via Henneberg to Johanngeorgenstadt.
