This route connects the historic salt works town of Werne with the wide expanses of water of Lake Möhne, crossing the diverse agricultural and wooded landscapes of the Westphalian Bay. Much of the journey follows the Pengel-Anton cycle path, a former railroad line that provides a smooth corridor through the rural scenery. Considerable physical stamina is required to make the transition from the flat floodplains of the River Lippe to the hilly forest climbs of the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park....

Long road bike route from Werne to Telgte. This long route leads from the town of Werne to the pilgrimage site of Telgte. The route is almost entirely asphalted and takes racing bike enthusiasts through the heart of the Münsterland parkland. The route leads along quiet country roads and designated cycle paths through a famously flat landscape of fields and meadows. The difficulty is solely due to the considerable distance, not the elevation gain.
