Best easy trails in Düren

An easy hike for the whole family through the Burgau Forest nature reserve. We recommend a visit to the adjacent Burgau moated castle with an integrated restaurant. After a short break and once here there is also another integrated hiking trail "ForstlehrpfadBurgau" (a nature trail with themed boards and interesting facts about the forest habitat). Accessibility: There are no elevations and wide paths; the route is suitable for wheelchairs and prams.

This picturesque and historic loop leads through the upper Rur Valley in the heart of the Northern Eifel. The trail opens up the deeply carved valleys around the historic cloth-making town of Monschau and runs along a mixture of natural riverside paths along the Rur, narrow forest trails, and panoramic routes on the rocky slopes. A central highlight is the view of the slate houses of Monschau and the unspoiled nature of the Perlenbach and Rur valleys, where the river still splashes wildly...
