It is famous for the largest chalk cliffs in Germany, the Königsstuhl, meaning "King's Chair". This is Germany's smallest national Park, and is characterized by its chalky white cliffs and beech forests. The Am Stettiner Haff nature park is located in the immediate vicinity of the Republic of Poland and is one of the youngest nature parks in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is known for its natural sections of the Haff coast and Haff meadows, extensive mixed forests of the Ueckermünder Heide, the Uecker and Randow lowlands and the Brohmer Mountains. On the almost 54,000 hectares you can find peace and relaxation even in the high season. The expanses of the terminal and ground moraine landscape were created by the Vistula Ice Age around 12,000 years ago and are waiting to be discovered.Show more
