Best long trails in Parchim

The Buchholz is a forest south / southeast of Parchim. It has a couple of different hiking trails that run through it. This path mainly leads around the outskirts, but also ventures into the center. But other routes can also be explored. It is ideal for running or for walking the dog. There is also another entrance from Meyenburger Straße.

This route starts south of Parchim and explores the Sonnenberg Forest. This is a great way to see a large part of the forest, including the Sonnenberg "summit" and the Vietingshöhle, a fun wooden hut for children, in addition to the great Holzmann nearby.
