This route is based on the legendary robber chief Vieting. He and his gang robbed and murdered merchants and other travelers in the Parchim area. One day, Vieting meets a young girl in the forest. He takes her prisoner and hides her in his cave on Sonnenberg near Parchim. This hike takes you along this centuries-old trade route and past the places where the robber lived. On the way you can see a sculpture by Vieting in Kiekendemark. We go through the Sonnenberg forest to the village of Slate, where the kidnapped girl Isalbe is said to have lived.
