On the island of Poel there is a parking lot directly behind the bridge. There you can park and bring your canoe or kayak to the shore. Poel is the 7th largest island in Germany and this route leads around it! At the southern end of the island is the Fauler See- and Rustwerder nature reserve. At the northern end of the island is the Langenwerder nature reserve.
