Best hard trails in Höchst im Odenwald

As usual. Still very muddy in the forest, so only wide paths. At least today there was no water from above. First down into the Mümlingtal and then over the Georg-Verst-Heim up to the Dammberg and over to the Breubergblick. Then back into the Mümlingtal and on the Mümlingtalradweg to Hainstadt. Here to the historic waterworks from 1901 up and on to Frankfurter Straße. Now back home. #noebike

Varied hike in the Odenwald, Hesse. The Nauses Castle dates back to the Middle Ages and was originally a moated castle. It was first mentioned in a document in 1471. The complex was renovated towards the end of the 15th century and the buildings that stand there today also date from this period. Via the Geisrain it goes through the MEDIAN clinic up to the confirmation beech with its two boundary stones. Now towards the cherry orchard. From here you have a nice view over the Spessart. Now a descent to Wald-Amorbach and straight up to the Buchwaldsfeld. After a short stretch of Frankfurter Straße, past the Bocksberg and down to the Kellergrund. Shortly before Heubach then up to the Tannenberg and over the Hirsenberg and the Schorschberg back home.

On the well-known paths. First over to the clinic and the confirmation beech. Then down to Wald-Amorbach. From there up to the Bergfeld and over to Frankfurter Straße. Now towards Rödelshäuschen and down to the Brunneneiche. There is some water again. Now with tailwind through the Heubacher valley and over Frau-Nauses back up to the rondelle and then I finished. #noebike

This route follows stage 7 of the Alemannenweg and connects Höchst im Odenwald with Michelstadt and Erbach. Departing Höchst im Odenwald, the path leads past the Roman Villa Haselburg toward Momart and through quiet forested hills.
