Popular hike near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria. The route begins at the free hiking car park on the Berchtesgadener Ache, near Marktschellenberg. After the shady coolness of the gorge, the way back leads through a somewhat more open and sunny landscape. It is possible to stop for refreshments at the beautiful Kugelmühle.
