Head out on this 6.2-mile out-and-back trail near Marktschellenberg, Bavaria. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a popular trail for hiking, rock climbing, and via ferrata, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.
From the Ettenau car park past the Scheibenkaser to the start of the Hochthronsteig (via ferrata C/D). Then over the summit to the Störhaus and through the lunch hole back to the Scheibenkaser and back to the parking lot.
