This spectacular ridge hike to the summit of the Schellschlicht is an intense, high-alpine challenge that requires absolute surefootedness, a head for heights and exceptional fitness. The route follows an exposed and often eroded path along the ridge, which is protected in steep areas by secured sections of wire rope. Hikers climb over 1,300 meters in altitude to the summit of the Schellschlicht in the Ammergau Alps. This is a solitary, challenging tour.

This Transalp MTB route starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany and ends in Torbole on Lake Garda in Italy. It stretches for almost 360 km and is made up of 6 segments crossing magnificent landscapes of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and finally Italy. This route is the 1st segment of the “Transalp Garmisch – Torbole” and starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria.
