Panoramic circular hike in Schöna, Saxony.
The tour starts and finishes at Schöna railway station. The route follows the Elbe to the border crossing to the Czech Republic at the Gelobtbachmühle mill. From there it is a very steep uphill section along the Gelobtbach stream (border stream to the Czech Republic). The route then leads to the highest point of the Wadnerung, the Großer Zschirnstein (461 m).
The Zirkelstein (385 m) and the Kaiserkrone (351 m) can also be climbed on the route, from where you can enjoy marvellous views over Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland. At the Hunskirche viewpoint, hikers are rewarded with wonderful panoramic views of the Elbe valley, the Schrammsteine and the village of Schmilka.
