This is the ninth stage of the varied WestfalenWanderWeg, which runs for 216 kilometres from Hattingen through the southern Ruhr region, the Paderborn region and the foothills of the Sauerland to Altenbeken in the Teutoburg Forest/Eggegebirge Nature Park.
The ninth stage begins in Büren and ends in Henglarn. Some marvellous, protected forests, beautiful valleys and historical buildings worth seeing make for a varied hike. The start and finish points can be reached by bus and there are places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments.
