The Sintfeld-Höhenweg is a wonderful circular hiking trail in the southern Paderborn region. This is the second stage of the almost 150 km long-distance hiking trail. The route begins near Wewelsburg Castle, the landmark of the Paderborn region, and ends at Dalheim Monastery. The first half of the hike, which is quite athletic at just under 26 kilometres, runs almost exclusively through the forest. On the last 12 kilometres, you walk through open fields and can enjoy sweeping views.
There is an opportunity to stop for refreshments at the end of the stage.
