The Sintfeld-Höhenweg is a wonderful circular hiking trail in the southern Paderborn region. This is the first stage of the almost 150 km long-distance hiking trail. The route starts in Büren and ends at Wewelsburg Castle, the landmark of the Paderborn region. At less than 13 km in length and with only a few climbs worth mentioning, the first section of the Sintfeld-Höhenweg is a good warm-up programme for the stages that follow, some of which are considerably more challenging. Overnight accommodation and refreshment stops are available at the stage finish.
