The St. Martinshütte, built in 1920, towers above Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the Grasberg. This easy hike leads directly to the small hut with its beautiful terrace, from where a magnificent view of the valley and the Wetterstein mountains awaits. Afterwards, you return the same way.
Most of the route leads along paved or prepared paths and is a year-round hiking experience. Hiking poles are helpful for some of the steep sections.
The hut is open from Wednesday to Monday. Tuesday is a day of rest and the hut is closed from mid to late November.
