Starting from the well-known winter sports resort of Garmisch-Patenkirchen, this circular hiking trail leads along the Kochelberg, past the Rießersee, over the Katzenberg to the Aule-Alm and back to Garmisch. The vegetation changes again and again between forest sections and meadows, from where you can enjoy a marvellous view of the Loisach Valley. This route also passes the former Olympic bobsleigh run, which is located near the Rießersee lake.
