The Watzmanntour is a popular and challenging mountain tour in the Berchtesgaden National Park. The starting point of the third stage is the picturesquely situated Wimbachgrieshütte. The route leads steeply uphill on stony paths through alpine altitudes to the Trischübel and past the Hundstod through the karstic landscape of the Steinernes Meer to the Kärlingerhütte - surefootedness and a head for heights are required in some places. The hike ends at the Kärlingerhaus, which has a postcard-perfect location directly on the Funtensee lake. In general, great mountain cinema and natural highlights of superlatives await on the tour.
