Sagerecksteig - Halsköpfl - Wasserberg

Versatile route in the Berchtesgaden National Park, Bavaria. This varied route starts at the Mooskaser Saletalm, which is open all year round. It leads uphill via the Sagerecksteig trail to the turn-off to the idyllic Schwarzsee lake. The shady forest path is steep in places, secured by wire ropes and equipped with wooden steps. From there you can climb the Halsköpfl. Continue to the Teufelshörner and the seasonally managed Waseralm, where you turn off onto the Röthsteig. The Röthsteig, which is partly secured by wire ropes, requires surefootedness and a head for heights. Here you have the opportunity to visit the highest waterfall in Germany. The trail leads along the Fischunkelalmweg past the much-visited Fischunkelalm and along the enchanting Obersee on a wide hiking trail back to the starting point.
