Stage 7 of the long-distance hiking trail "Wasserläufer-Route", Bavaria.
Together with the Himmelsstürmer-Route and the Wiesengänger-Route, the Wasserläufer-Route forms the popular Bavarian long-distance hiking trail network "Wandertrilogie Allgäu".
The starting point of the seventh stage of the Water Strider Route is Füssen (accessible by bus and train). At 17 kilometres, this section is a moderate distance, but is considered challenging overall due to the many steep ascents and descents. For example, the route climbs steeply to the Salober Alm. Great views as far as the Ammergebirge and a number of benches invite you to take a break and enjoy yourself. At the stage destination of Pfronten, there are opportunities for overnight stays and refreshments.
