4 Four Lakes Circuit

This picturesque circular route leads through the Bavarian Alpine foothills near the Austrian border. The trail opens up the idyllic Osterseen nature reserve near Iffeldorf and runs along a mixture of flat forest paths, well-maintained forest roads and paths close to the shore. A central highlight is the crystal-clear, often emerald-green shimmering water of the lakes. It runs along the Illasbergsee, Foggensee, Hopfensee and Weissensee lakes and offers spectacular views of the approaching Alpine chain. The route is completely flat and technically uncomplicated, making it a perfect destination for leisure hikers, photographers and families.
