This route takes you along the Königsweg to Schachen.
It begins at the Elmau hikers' car park and initially leads along a forest path along the "Koitaboch". In summer, many young cattle are grazing on the Wettersteinalm from about half of the way. The destination of the route is the royal house on Schachen, which belonged to Ludwig II.
