Popular circular hiking trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
From the starting point in Altrandsberg, the route follows the cycle path past old farmhouses in Irlmühle. After 400 metres, the path branches off to the left towards Kellburg. Before Neurandsberg, the route climbs up the Schlossberg to the Neurandsberg castle ruins and pilgrimage church. Before the path continues, you can stop for refreshments at the castle inn. A mining area is bypassed via forest and meadow paths, after which the cycle path is reached again. You stay on this for a short stretch. Before crossing the Höllberg, you have the option of continuing straight ahead for 550 metres and stopping for refreshments at the Wieswirt. After climbing the Höllberg, you come out of the forest to Hammersdorf. The markings now lead hikers back to Altrandsberg, where they can stop for refreshments (Gasthaus Laumer) or visit Altrandsberg Castle.
