This 8km circular trail leads from the tourist information centre along the footpath along Lambacher Straße to Oberschmelz. Once in Oberschmelz, leave the road (behind the Blaslhöhe coffee house) and turn right. A narrow path along the edge of the forest leads to Himmelreich, Buchet, the Fürstenzeche mine and Berghäusl. Again and again you can enjoy views of the Bavarian Forest mountains all the way to the Großer Arber. At Berghäusl, the panoramic trail turns right into a forest path that leads downhill back to the village.
