The MTB route leads from Mittenwald to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and on to the well-known and very idyllic Eibsee lake. From here you already have marvellous views of the Zugspitze. Continue to the Ehrwalder Almbahn valley station, where you can take the cable car up to the mountain station (€9, bikes are free). From here, it's a leisurely downhill ride back to Mittenwald.
