A demanding and idyllic circular route in the Zugspitze region. It starts at the parking lot at the Karwendelbahn valley station. A bus also goes here to the Mittenwald Karwendelbahn stop. The Ochsenbodensteig leads up towards the Hochlandhütte.
The highland hut is open in the summer and autumn months (see tips). It can only be reached on foot and offers several accommodation options.
