The starting point is the village square in Rimbach. Head north along Hohenbogenstraße. Shortly before the former swimming pool, turn left. The forest path continues to the forest road called Grenzweg. Keep left here, passing the hikers' car park. You will soon see the markings for the Baierweg trail. Follow these markings in the direction of Hohenbogen. After 1.3 km, the Goldsteig and the E6 long-distance hiking trail join them. The now very arduous ascent is rewarded with a marvellous view of the Further Valley as far as the Czech Republic on the Burgstall (976 m), where the Bavarian Broadcasting Tower is located. Follow the markings on the tarmac road to the forestry service hut (restaurant). Here you can fortify yourself before continuing the hike to the Seelenbrunnen. From there, you reach Rimbach via Unterzettling and Schafhof.
