Best trails near Seelbrunnen

This route starts in Rimbach and leads to the nearby peaks of the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park. The peaks along the way include the Farrenruck, the Bärenriegel, the Eckstein, the Schwarzriegel and the Ahornreigel. There are several places to stop for refreshments along the way and many great views.

The starting point is the village square in Rimbach. Head north along Hohenbogenstraße. Shortly before the former swimming pool, turn left. The forest path continues to the forest road called Grenzweg. Keep left here, passing the hikers' car park. You will soon see the markings for the Baierweg trail. Follow these markings in the direction of Hohenbogen. After 1.3 km, the Goldsteig and the E6 long-distance hiking trail join them. The now very arduous ascent is rewarded with a marvellous view...

This circular hiking trail starts in Hohenwarth and leads to the Hohenbogen Diensthütte, which is located next to the Kohlriegel. The trail first crosses the River Regen, then leads through Oberzettling and Unterzettling before entering the forest on the ascent to the Hohenbogen Diensthütte. The way back is of course along the same route.
