After parking the car at the car park at the valley station of the Alpspitz and Kreuzeck cable cars, the Alpspitzbahn goes up to the mountain station. From here, the route begins to the Hupfleitenjoch and a few kilometres on the Hupfleitenjochsteig trail there and back (if you want to shorten the hike, you can skip this part). The route then continues to the Kreuzeckbahn mountain station. The way back down to the valley is then comfortably by cable car. The views on this route are priceless.
Caution! The route consists of quite a lot of loose gravel, which is why sturdy shoes are an advantage.
