A steep ascent takes you to Annelsbacher Höhe. Then over the Hohe Straße to Böllstein. From here, the route crosses over to Affhöllerbach and into the Gersprenztal valley. After a tour of Brensbach, the route then climbs up to Einhardsbrunnen and on to Hermesberg. From here via Hummetroth back to Höchst.
