Best river trails in Ludwigsburg

Relaxed walk along the Neckar, Baden-Württemberg. This is a leisurely walk from the car park at the Hoheneck outdoor pool along the Neckar to Hochberg Castle. Among other things, it passes through the renaturalised Zugwiesen meadows, which provide a habitat for many animals and plants. The route starts in Ludwigsburg/Poppenweiler and leads past the Buchenbach, Wüstenbach and Murr rivers. Most of the route is on meadow paths and trails. 2 times (Buchenbach and Wüstenbach) the bike has to be pushed through the water, but your feet stay dry as there are stones on which you can walk. The Wüstenbach is cycled through for a short stretch. The route is not particularly technically demanding, but in winter or on rainy days, the slippery surface requires strong studs on the tyres.
