Best partially-paved trails in Ludwigsburg

Idyllic circular walk around Asperg, Baden-Württemberg. The circular route can be started at TSV Ludwigsburg. The route leads northwards past Monrepos Palace Park on well-maintained country lanes around Asperg. Small inclines are to be expected, but are easily manageable. The route starts in Ludwigsburg/Poppenweiler and leads past the Buchenbach, Wüstenbach and Murr rivers. Most of the route is on meadow paths and trails. 2 times (Buchenbach and Wüstenbach) the bike has to be pushed through the water, but your feet stay dry as there are stones on which you can walk. The Wüstenbach is cycled through for a short stretch. The route is not particularly technically demanding, but in winter or on rainy days, the slippery surface requires strong studs on the tyres.

Start in Eglosheim at the TSV car park. Pass the Monrepossee lake in the direction of Asperg. At the open-air swimming pool, turn right and pass under the railway tracks, along the Hohenasperg and then continue along the Höhenweg to the Markgröningen clinic grounds.
